Cubase speaks your language.

I use Cubase because it works the way I do, and I've always appreciated its flexibility.  One example of this is that the software will run in several languages.  Whether you prefer to work in English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, or Japanese, a simple preference option has you covered.

To switch the language, call up your Preferences menu, and select "General" from the list on the left.  You can then choose the language from the drop-down menu on the upper right.

You can also download the full manual in your preferred language as well.  Go to the Steinberg.net website, click on the "Support" link at the top, and then click on the "Downloads" section.  Choose your product from the drop-down list, and you will see the available documentation, as well as the latest updates.

I notice that the Japanese documentation isn't in that list.  If you find out where it's hiding, please let me know!

I know many people prefer a hard copy of the manual (it's tough to take a .pdf into the bathroom, I guess), but I think that .pdf documentation has some real advantages.

Most importantly, there's that handy search function that lets you find exactly the information you need in just a few clicks.  Also important, and tremendously helpful, is that the electronic documentation can be updated to reflect new features in the software, so your manual always corresponds to the workflow of the software you're using.

Enjoy!
